You reached out your hand to our community through the Berwick Area United Way Annual Campaign. With your help, Berwick Area United Way ran a free state and federal tax filing site. You helped 239 people file their taxes and bring more than $287,000 in tax refunds back into our community. You helped to provide free prescription drug discount cards that have no income limits or paperwork. Almost 9,000 people saved more than $72,000 on their prescription cost.
You thought of we before me. Because of you, abused families have a safe haven. You helped isolated elderly receive regular visits through Meals on Wheels and Books on Wheels. You made sure working parents have safe, quality day care for their children. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts get outside to explore, learn and have fun because of you.
