Stuff the Bus

We are happy to report that this year, we collected nearly 500 stuffed backpacks for area students who receive free or reduced lunches — that’s 200 more than last year.  Berwick’s generosity was shared with surrounding area school districts including Bloomsburg and Danville, because the need does not stop at district lines nor do all of business employees reside in Berwick.

The backpacks were distributed to the Berwick Area School District, HeadStart, New Story, Holy Family, Bloomsburg Salvation Army, and the Gatehouse in Danville.  Children all over the area will be able to start the school year prepared and excited with a new backpack stuffed with folders, pens, pencils, notebooks, and so much more.

A special thank you to Berwick Offray, Berwick Hospital, Berwick Ministerium, First Keystone Community Bank, Fuel Fitness, Giant Food Stores, McCarl’s Inc., Mulberry Chiropractic, Berwick YMCA, PPL Susquehanna, and Scientech.
